ABOUT
「 Triple D Dance Unlimited 」is a Kids Dance Program based in Astoria Queens, NY that launched in November, 2015. Currently, in addition to Astoria, we have classes in Forest Hills and Long Island City.
Founder/Instructor YUYU's vision to bring a wealth of exciting dance styles and experiences to the "Triple D Dance Unlimited". We strives to create a nurturing environment that not only challenges our students to work toward dance technical excellence, but also encourages them to find and express their unique voice an artist.
『トリプル D・ダンス・アンリミテッド』は、2015年11月に、アストリア/クイーンズで開講したキッズダンスプログラムです。現在はアストリアの他、フォレストヒルズ、ロングアイランドシティでもクラスを開催しています。
「楽しく・チャレンジ・努力・スキルアップ」をモットーにダンス歴20年の経験を持つインストラクターのYUYUが子供達１人１人の個性を生かした指導を目指し、日々子供たちと一緒に頑張っています。
YUYU
Founder & Director of Triple D Dance Unltd.
Born and raised in Otaru, Hokkaido, Japan.
Yuyu learned various genres of dance such as Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap, Flamenco, Gymnastics, and worked as an instructor, choreographer and organizing numerous events and stages mainly in the suburbs of Sapporo and Otaru.
In ballroom dancing, she was fascinated by her ability and experienced studying abroad in Russia. Participated in various tournaments mainly in Hokkaido and won the title of amateur champion. She has a qualification to teach ballroom dance and a qualification as a sports instructor for the disabled.
In 2001, Yuyu decided to move to the United States to study in New York, the center of dance. After studying at Ballet Arts and Broadway Dance Center, she obtained an artist visa and started her dance career in NY.
Choreographed for Manhattan College's cheer dance team, participated in Amateur Nights at the Apollo Theater, and was picked up to appeared on "Show Time At The Appollo".
In addition, she had worked on Music Videos and various stages for famous artists, and has been worked as a dance director/dancer for many celebrity events such as Wendy Williams, Funk Master Flex’s party and famous NY clubs like ”Copacabana" "Cheetah" and more for a long time.
Married and now a mother of two children.
In November 2015, YUYU established the kids dance program "Triple D Dance Unlimited" in Queens, NY.
Currently, she has program in Astoria, Forest Hills and L.I.C. also started online class via Zoom during pandemic and is still continuing.
She is dedicated to teaching children the fun of dancing in English & Japanese.
北海道・小樽市出身。
年少の頃より器械体操を初める。1６歳から始めたボールルームダンスで実力を認められロシア留学を経験。北海道を中心に各種目の大会に出場しアマチュアチャンピオンの座を獲得。クラッシックバレエ、JAZZ、HIP-HOP、タップ、フラメンコなど様々なジャンルのダンスを学び、札幌・小樽近郊を中心に講師・振付師として活動、数々のイベント・舞台をオーガナイズ。
ボールルームダンスの指導資格や障害者へのスポーツインストラクターの資格を持つ。
2001年、さらなるダンスを学ぶ為に渡米を決意。New YorkのBallet Artsに留学し、当時姉妹校だった Broadway Dance Centerを中心に学んだ後にアーティストビザを取得。本格的にダンス活動の拠点をNew Yorkへ。
Manhaatan Collegeのチアダンスチームの振付け、Harlem Dance Teamのメンバーとして数々のダンスコンテストに出場、アポロシアターで行われるアマチュアナイトに出場し『Show Time At The Appollo』にピックアップされTV出演も果たす。
その他、有名アーティストのMusic Videoや数々のステージに出演。Wendy WilliamsやFank Master FlexなどのセレブリティイベントやNYの有名クラブ『Copacabana』『Cheetah』のダンスディレクター兼ダンサーを長期勤める。
結婚し２児の母。
2015年11月、Astoria, Queensにキッズダンスプログラム「Triple D Dance Unltd. (トリプルＤ・ダンス・アンリミテッド）」を設立。現在は、Astoria、Forest Hills、L.I.Cを中心にクラスを展開、パンデミックにも対応しZoomでのオンラインクラスも開催中。子供たちへのダンス指導に力を入れている。
